"Fruit and Floral"

"Floral and Fruit"
4o x 30" x 2"#painting on gallery board
#Palette knife painting
#Natures beauties. The #inspiration was the #organic chaos in the #movement of the stems, petals and #color.......while underneath are quiet simplified round forms planted on the ground.
While at times I can and want to be that wild chaos....it is sometimes nice to just be a simple #form taking a little pause on life;)

Valley Vines-painting

"Valley Vines" #palette knife #painting.  On gallery board 30 x40" original #acrylic.
#Living in the Valley....
As an #artist you can't help recognize the organized #beauty of #grape #vines. They are perfectly aligned row after row!
Their #canvas is the soothing & undulating #hills.....the polar opposite! They are #organic..one rolls into the next.
Painting from this #inspiration is a way to say....I see how beautiful my surroundings are and I am #thankful.

Sunday In my Mind-Painting

"Sunday in my mind" #Landscape #abstract/#expressionistic painting on board 30 x 40 acrylic palette knife
#today was #enlightening.....#painting for myself...no deadlines, no parameters, no #critique....Just me and my #brush and the one who #speaks to my #art #mind and #soul. It was an absolute blast and I am thankful for days like these:)

Beauty I believe is in the variety of; color, shape, size and style.

Flowers are like people...when you bring them together you explore their differences and their similarities; one complements the other. Place one flower in a vase...and you appreciate it it for what you see... put it next to a variety of flowers and....

You see all the little nuances of beauty. The individual character, shape, color and size. Each flower has it's own unique beauty...
 Capture beauty today!

I carved out "the Artist's Loft" stamp today!

Well...the Christmas hustle and bustle is officially over!

It was a wonderful season full of a lot of late night paint and craft sessions.  I had a lot of orders to fill:)...I am happy to say:
ALL Pr0MisEd orders before Christmas were MET!!! Yeah:)

I am walking away with some good art business knowledge for next year...

*I will have a cut off date posted well in advance

*No over-promising...this is V E R Y hard for me because I can't say NO:)

*Create felted items NoW for next year!

☆I am so ThAnkfUL and  e x h a u s t e d  at the same time.

Today...I thought I would take things easy and R E l a x  a enjoy these quiet moments.

I carved my own art stamp!!

It says, "the Artist's Loft" and I am very pleased with my SECOND attempt:) Yes...The first go was an Oopsy! ....
I forgot with stamping...everything is backwards!!!!
Especially lettering you can't "get by" with backwards words. It is pretty obvious. OH-well.

After the good laugh.. I went for it and love the outcome!
