"Can't see the forest for the trees".

 "Can't See The Forest For The Trees"

I never really understood the meaning of this expression....until I decided to look it up at age 46!  I guess you could say I am guilty of doing this...often :)

 I get so focused on all the little details of something and forget to stand back, take a deep breath and evaluate the whole "Forest," situation at hand.

Don't you think we are, sometimes better this way?

Is there a time..you would have rather turned around and ran out of the the (forest) situation on hand? I have and it probably would of saved a lot of headaches & heartaches but, on the other-hand I DO learn a lot this way.."the hard way"...I call it:)

I get overwhelmed...and the whole forest is BIG and scary at times!

......There is a time and place for everything and today; the forest is where I am sitting, painting and taking in every leaf, branch and little space between!
